Jacob has an extraordinary expertise in advising on M&A transactions of an international nature. Some of his clients include foreign enterprises that had entered the Israeli market through a merger or acquisition process, as well as Israeli companies that regularly perform transactions in the international arena. Furthermore, Jacob represents the country’s largest and most prominent enterprises and is immensely skilled at appearing before all instances of the Israeli courts, including the Supreme Court, as well as in managing arbitrations and mediations. Likewise, Jacob has notable experience in international arbitration, representing leading clients in assorted arbitration proceedings overseas, including arbitration under the auspices and rules of the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). Moreover, he serves as an arbitrator and a mediator. Additionally, Jacob is an adjunct lecturer at the Buchman Faculty of Law at the Tel Aviv University, where he teaches a simulated transaction course, allowing students to actively experience legal handling of a transaction. In 2015, Jacob was appointed as a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. The Commission on Arbitration and ADR, comprising representatives from 92 countries, is ICC’s rule-making body and unique think tank in the field of international dispute resolution. The commission drafts and revises the various ICC rules for dispute resolution, including the ICC Rules of Arbitration, the ICC ADR Rules, the ICC Dispute Board Rules, and the ICC Rules for Expertise.
