Kimmo Mettälä advises clients on banking and finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions assignments and private equity investments. He has extensive experience in acquisition finance and secured finance, corporate finance, debt capital markets, debt restructurings, public and private company acquisitions and divestitures, investments in the emerging markets and representation of growth companies. Prior to joining Krogerus, Kimmo was a partner and co-founder at another leading Finnish law firm. He has also held legal positions at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, the World Bank in Washington, D.C. and at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London.

Krogerus' recent work includes advising HSH Nordbank on the €131m financing of the Haapajärvi and Ratiperä wind farms, and acting for Niam on the refinancing of its Helsinki office real estate portfolio. Päivi Toivari leads the department, which acts for clients including Landesbank Hessen Thüringen Girozentrale, Nordea Bank and Swedbank.
