Insurance Tier 3
Roca Junyent has a particular focus on corporate transactions involving insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as representing clients in dealings with the Spanish regulator. Known for investment arbitration and financial litigation, Roca Junyent has ‘a strategic, pragmatic approach, aligned with the interests of the client’. Jordi Calvo Costa leads the practice with Marlen Estévez, who recently joined from King & Wood Mallesons and is ‘an outstanding negotiator with strong interpersonal and oral skills’. Restructuring and collective bargaining specialist Àlex Santacana Folgueroles leads the team at Roca Junyent, which has particular experience in collective agreements and M&A-related employment issues. Roca Junyent's 'innovative' team has 'strong technical capabilities', and 'shows care and adds value'. It has a strong client portfolio including numerous foreign banks such as Haitong Bank, Kreditech and UniCredit. A highlight was advising medical equipment and devices manufacturer Werfenlife on the €356m financing granted by CaixaBank for the acquisition of Accriva Diagnostics. The 'superb' Pablo Rodríguez's 'ability to negotiate under pressure and tight timings makes him outstanding in high-profile and complex transactions' and Xavier Foz Giralt is also recommended.
