For 20+ years, Khristophor has specialised in Russian and cross-border commercial disputes and Public International Law issues.

He advises clients on complex corporate conflicts and transactions and shareholder disputes, developing judicial defence strategies in Russian and foreign courts. In particular, he has participated on numerous occasions as strategist and chief trial counsel in transborder commercial litigation involving issues of insolvency, corporate fraud, and asset tracing and freezing/recovery.

For 10+ years, Khristophor has led teams representing the Russian Federation in interstate disputes before the ICJ, ECHR, and other international courts.

Career

Prior to founding Ivanyan and Partners in 2006, Khristofor led the legal department of a private insurance company, worked as legal counsel for a regional energy company in St Petersburg, and made his way from associate to partner in a major Russian law firm.
