Position

Solicitor and Partner. 

With extensive experience and specialist knowledge in the healthcare sector, Leah has successfully established a niche for FJG in healthcare acquisitions.  Her particular specialism lies in buying and selling dental practices (NHS, private or mixed) by way of asset or share transactions; acting for vendors and purchasers in their personal capacity, as partners or via limited companies. 

She is a skilled multi-disciplined lawyer who undertakes the commercial, property and employment aspects of the deal for the client and regularly for the lender either on a dual or sole instruction basis.  She also undertakes the legal due diligence exercise, drafts and negotiates the legal documentation, advises on the Care Quality Commission registration and for NHS businesses, liaises with the NHS England Local Area Teams to facilitate the transfer of the NHS Contract. 

Career

Completed a training contract with Abrahams Dresden LLP in London EC1 and remained there after qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005 for 14 years. Progressed from Solicitor to Partner in Abrahams Dresden LLP within 6 years.  Joined Fisher Jones Greenwood to establish a niche healthcare acquisition department in 2015 and was made Partner soon after.

Often invited, as an expert in her field, to present to dentists and other industry professionals including lecturing to the British Dental Association’s compliance and NHS team.  She has written for various healthcare industry trade publications.

Recognised as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’ within Fisher Jones Greenwood’s Company and Commercial department in the 2019 edition of the Legal 500.
