Position

Tony Fisher is the head of the commercial department at Fisher Jones Greenwood. He undertakes Company/Commercial and partnership work, advises charities and educational establishments, and is engaged in the firm’s international practice. He has wide experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-structuring, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Tony is also a CEDR accredited mediator.

Career

Tony has an MBA in Legal Practice and aside from his commercial work, Tony also undertakes international work and is a member of the Law Society International Issues Committee which focuses on opening up overseas markets for solicitors in England and Wales. He also has extensive experience in international and domestic human rights work and has appeared as an advocate in the European Court of Human Rights on many occasions.

Memberships

Tony is a member of various trade and business organisations including the Institute of Directors and the International Division of the Law Society. He is a Fellow of the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex and is a member and former Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales. He also sits on the Council of the Law Society as the representative for the Essex constituency.
