Mr Falkman specialises in mergers and acquisitions, energy and public utilities law and compliance and investigations. He acts regularly for Swedish as well as international clients and has extensive experience from transaction work within for example the energy and public utilities sector. He is a member of the ICC Sweden Commission on Environment and Energy and is also Hammarskiöld & Co’s representative, and the sole Swedish member, in the Energy Law Group; a network of lawyers specialising in energy and natural resources law from independent law firms.

Hammarskiöld’s energy and public utilities practice is headed up Jakob Falkman, who regularly handles transactional mandates including investments, divestments and M&A deals. The group’s client roster includes oil and gas companies, investors and battery cell producers; Falkman and Erik Fahlgren were recently instructed on high-value corporate joint ventures and joint research projects for battery cell sector clients. The team also provides expert regulatory advice pertaining to electricity and gas infrastructure projects.
