Mr Falkman specialises in mergers and acquisitions, energy and public utilities law and compliance and investigations. He acts regularly for Swedish as well as international clients and has extensive experience from transaction work within for example the energy and public utilities sector. He is a member of the ICC Sweden Commission on Environment and Energy and is also Hammarskiöld & Co’s representative, and the sole Swedish member, in the Energy Law Group; a network of lawyers specialising in energy and natural resources law from independent law firms.

Hammarskiöld’s M&A team advises a range of domestic and foreign clients – including companies, private equity sponsors, and venture capital firms – with buy-and-build mandates being a recent area of growth for the team. Senior partner Peder Hammarskiöld boasts vast expertise in both public and private takeovers. Erik Löfwall counts several blue-chip PE funds among his client roster, while Jakob Falkman handles large and mid-cap transations for industrial clients as well as PE funds.
