Barbara heads up the Debt and Asset Recovery Team at Lavelle Partners. She is also a highly experienced High Court Litigation Specialist. She has worked in litigation for over 12 years and acts on behalf of clients across a diverse range of sectors.

Her litigation experience encompasses insolvency-related litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract including construction contracts, company law matters, defamation, professional negligence, debt collection and asset recovery matters and injunctions.

Barbara acts for many of Ireland’s lending institutions and is involved in multiple High Court, Commercial Court and Court of Appeal litigations and has strong established relationships with specialist barristers and expert witnesses. She also has experience in the specialisms of employment law and alternative dispute resolution.

She is also an experienced advisor in both personal insolvency and company liquidations.  She counsels individual clients with regard to their personal debt and companies in financial trouble through the process of examinership or liquidation including creditors’ meetings.  Barbara has also advised some of the leading liquidators and receivers in Dublin with regard to their duties and litigation arising out of same.
