Career

José Ignacio has been a partner in the Department of Government and Regulated Sectors since September of 2006, when he joined the firm. Government Lawyer since 1992 (currently on leave), as such he was named Chief Legal Counsel in the Gubernatorial Delegation of La Rioja (1992-1996), and Chief Legal Counsel to the Ministry of the Presidency (1996-2000), as well as the then Ministry of Science and Technology (2000-2002). He served as Technical Secretary General for the Ministry of the Environment (2002-2004) and, previously he held the role of Technical Secretary General to the Ministry of Health and Consumption (Ministerio de Sanidad y Consumo) (2004-2006). José Ignacio has distinguished experience as an advisor for matters relating to government and public sector law, for administrations and public bodies, companies in the public sector and private companies relating to public and other entities. His practice has focused principally on public contracts, concessions, administration of public funds and in the sectors of energy (specifically renewable energies), environmental, geriatric, pharmaceutical and other sectors subject to administrative regulation or intervention.
