Career

Manuel has been Partner of the Litigation Practice since joining the firm in December 2010.

He is a Government Lawyer (Abogado del Estado) currently on leave. He has extensive experience in all types of civil and commercial proceedings, in particular property claims, legal matters in relation to real estate and actions for directors’ liability. He was Coordinator of the Legal Assistance Agreement with Correos.

He specialises in proceedings regarding commercial matters, in particular the challenging of corporate resolutions, directors’ liability, unfair competition and damages actions for private enforcement of competition law.

He also advises in proceedings for a wide range of civil matters, such as claims for construction defects, matters relating to real estate, disputes resulting from EPC agreements and public and private procurement, etc. He acts before various arbitration courts (CIMA, Court of Arbitration of the ICAM, etc.).

He also has extensive experience in financial disputes, in particular before the Supreme Court.

Teaching: Manuel has participated as a speaker in various conferences organised, among others, by the Asociación de Usuarios de Servicios Bancarios (Association of Users of Bank Services), the Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Madrid Bar Association), the Dirección General de Patrimonio del Estado (Directorate-General for State Assets) and the Centro de Estudios Jurídicos del Ministerio de Justicia (Centre for Legal Studies of the Ministry of Justice).
