Career

Joaquín, former Chairman of the Spanish National Commission for Competition, is currently heading the Litigation practice area in the firm. He is a Judge, on extended leave on absence, expertised in litigation cases against the Government and was President of the Litigation against the Government division of the High Court of Justice in Andalusia from 2001 to 2011. He was also member of the Joint Commission on Procedure Standarization and IT Implementation in the aforesaid Court and member of the IT Commission of the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary. As to his most international practice, he acted as consultant for the improvement of litigation and environmental law in the Republic of Panama and Mexico.
