She holds a Master’s in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Mafalda Ferreira Santos started her professional career in 1997 at the law firm «F. Castelo Branco, P. Rebelo de Sousa & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados» (Portuguese Legal Group, AEIE) and in «P. Rebelo de Sousa & Associados, Simmons & Simmons.». From 2003 to 2013 Mafalda Ferreira Santos was an associate at the law firm «Gonçalves Pereira, Castelo Branco & Associados», currently «Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL», where she became partner in 2013. Mafalda Ferreira Santos has lectured the Interdisciplinary Juridical Practice discipline from 2004 to 2017, at the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon.
