At SÉRVULO since 2008, António Teles is a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration departments. He has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal since 1984. He was also a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, from 1985 to 1990. He was a partner of the law firm «Ferreira Pinto & Associados», from 2000 to 2007, and also a partner of «J. A. Pinto Ribeiro & Associados» from 1990 to 1999.

Bringing together a multidisciplinary team with expertise across financing, governance and dispute resolution, Sérvulo & Associados has a strong track record in complex and high-profile liquidation cases in Portugal and Europe. The team has recently experienced an uptick in instructions related to restructuring and insolvency proceedings as well as transactions involving distressed assets. Also noteworthy is the team’s collaboration in the implementation of an IT platform for the management of the liquidation proceedings of three major Portuguese banks – BES, BANIF and BPP. The department is under the joint leadership of four partners: Manuel Magalhães, who is particularly experienced in insolvencies in the financial sector; Mafalda Ferreira Santos, whose areas of expertise include in- and out-of-court restructuring and insolvency issues; António Teles and João Saúde.
