Position
Dr. Zacharias-Alexis Schneider advises Private Clients and Family Offices on business successions with a special emphasis on the tax aspects, transaction advice, tax structuring and not-for-profit designs. In addition, he is a regular author and lecturer on topics at the interface between tax and corporate law.
Since 2015, he has been a permanent contributor to Schwarz/Pahlke, “AO/FGO-Kommentar”, a legal commentary on the German Tax Code and Tax Court Code published by Haufe, and, since 2017, a permanent contributor to the tax law magazine “Umsatzsteuer- und Verkehrsteuer-Recht” (UVR), published by Stollfuß Medien GmbH & Co. KG.
Career
Dr Zacharias-Alexis Schneider studied law and business law (LL.B.) at the Universities of Osnabrück (Germany) and Budapest (Hungary). He then successfully completed a master’s programme, earning an LL.M. Taxation degree, and did his doctorate with a thesis on a corporate/tax law topic. In 2016, he was admitted to practise as a tax advisor and was appointed a certified specialist in tax law. Since then, he has additionally been appointed a certified specialist in commercial and corporate law and a specialist advisor for business succession.
Zacharias-Alexis Schneider joined Luther’s Hanover office as a partner in 2021. Before moving to Luther, he headed for several years the private client practice of an international “Big Four” firm, providing comprehensive tax law and civil law structuring advice as a lawyer and tax advisor.
