The main focus of his practice is civil litigation with an emphasis on corporate and insolvency matters in Italy and abroad. He also provides assistance to clients before the administrative courts and takes part in arbitration proceedings both as an counsel and as arbitrator. Prof. Dittrich is the author of three books and lots of papers and case comments. Mr Dittrich regularly lectures and speaks at academic and professional conferences, including postgraduate courses, also organized by the Italian judges' governing body and by several lawyers' professional bodies.


He started his career as a lawyer at his father's law firm, Avv. Vincenzo Dittrich, and has been practicing in Milan ever since, specializing in civil litigation. Since March 2007 he acts as of counsel to Lombardi Molinari e Associati (now Lombardi Molinari Segni) and he is partner as from may 2008.

University of Milan (J.D., cum laude, 1986) Lotario Dittrich, since 2005 has been professor at the Faculty of Laws of the University of Trieste where he teaches Civil Procedure. He has also taught at the Universities of Milan and Como.

In a recent highlight, the practice represented longstanding client Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena in two liability disputes against Deutsche Bank and Nomura International regarding multibillion-euro repo transactions; other work includes acting for Alstom Ferroviaria in challenging an arbitral award related to a consortium, which concerns the construction of the Italian high-speed railway system. Lotario Dittrich and ‘great lawyerManuela Soligo are other names to note. Associate professor Riccardo Campione joined the firm as a counsel in September 2017. Christian Patelmo left in January 2018 to join Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato.
