Partner since 2020
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2003, he began his carreer at Ernst & Young corporate national and international tax services department, then at Ayache Salama & Associés. He became partner at Aramis in 2010 and was responsible of the Tax department until he joined Veil jourde in 2020. He dedicates its activity to corporate tax: intervenes on the tax structuring of the transactions of sale, acquisition, financing or LBO. He also assists his clients, French and foreign groups, in all their tax issues, including tax adjustments and disputes. He also has extensive experience in the taxation of senior executives, shareholders and managers.
In March 2020 Veil Jourde hired a team from Aramis led by Benoît Gréteau in to relaunch its tax practice. The group regularly assists the firm’s M&A and private equity teams with transactions, but also leads a strong stand-alone activity. The team is able to advise on complex tax structuring schemes and notably advised Erwena on the refinancing of its €1.6bn existing debt through the creation of a fiducie suretyship. The busy tax litigation caseload deals with key issues, such as state aids and research tax credit, which regularly raised new legal issues that required consideration from French administrative courts and the French Supreme Courts. Public law specialist Emmanuel Glaser left to co-found Fréget Glaser & Associés in February 2021.
