Career

Valentin Georgiev is a senior partner in Georgiev, Todorov & Co Law Offices. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University in 1982, where he also taught for a few years. He did a specialization in Belgium on European Union Law and in Germany on the national and international Protection of Human Rights Law.

Valentin is currently the Head of the Faculty of Legal Studies at Burgas Free University and in the period 1991-1992 he was a legal adviser to the Prime Minister.

His areas of practice include banking and insolvency, as well as corporate and commercial law.

Valentin was appointed as the receiver of Plama and also of Balkanbank, one of the biggest insolvency proceedings for a Bulgarian bank.
