Partner specialising in corporate and M&A and public procurement, with a predominantly international client base. Alexandros negotiates, executes and enforces all types of commercial agreements including agency, distribution, franchise, shareholder and reorganisation. He also advises on the regulatory framework governing the highly regulated pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries, on risk management in litigation when structuring companies and commercial relationships, and on the management of tenders in public procurement.

Stathis Potamitis, Alexandros Kortesis and Xenophon Paparrigopoulos co-head the practice, which attracts work from a number of high-profile clients. Paparrigopoulos leads the ongoing advice to Coca-Cola Hellenic SAIC on online contracts, online competitions and branding relating to numerous products and promotional activities. Also notable is that the firm represented Wind Hellas at the Supreme Court in relation to two actions for the annulment of fines imposed by the Greek Data Protection Authority over marketing practices that were deemed to violate data protection legislation.

POTAMITISVEKRIS‘ ‘outstanding‘ team is well known for its ability to act as lead counsel in cross-border transactions, with particular expertise in advising on foreign direct investment into Greece. The team also handles domestic M&A and has developed its industry focus to cover telecoms, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, food and beverages, aquaculture, and hotels and leisure. In addition, the team draws on the firm’s capital markets and insolvency expertise when advising on transactions involving tender offers, delistings, cash-out mergers, refinancing and M&A involving distressed enterprises. Stathis Potamitis heads the practice and is active in M&A and restructuring. George Bersis, Alexandros Kortesis, who has particular expertise in distribution and franchise matters, and restructuring specialist Vassilis Stergiou are also noted.
