Career

Doron Stern is a partner in the firm’s corporate and securities group.

Doron’s main areas of practice are high-tech, venture capital funds, start-ups and M&A.

Doron advises venture capital funds and technology companies on corporate, business, and tax matters, as well as on general commercial law. He also addresses other international matters, including trusts and estates, off-shore matters, international dual tax treaties and international commercial transactions. Doron has significant experience and knowledge in other fields which he practiced before focusing on high-tech. These include: hotels management and projects, real estate transactions, and environmental law (which he was among the first to practice in Israel). Throughout his career Doron continued to practice commercial litigation on selected cases. He believes that the combination of the two areas of law benefits the perspective on both commercial as well litigation handling.

Mr. Stern is a well-known as leading lawyer in the High-tech, Cyber, and High-tech Taxation fields in Israel. He worked with some of the best venture capital funds which invested in Israeli companies, as well as with angels and lucrative private investors who are active in Israel.

Following articulation in the Supreme Court of Israel, Doron joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher, in New York City, as a foreign associate. In 1995 he founded Tulchinsky Stern & Co. with Adv. Menachem Tulchinsky. Stern joined Meitar Law Offices in 2021.

Doron served as a Judge in the disciplinary and the Supreme Disciplinary Court of the Israel Bar Association for 12 years and presided as an arbitrator and mediator on selected cases.
