Savvas Theofanous is a Senior Associate in the Litigation Department of N. Pirilides & Associates LLC and a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2017. He joined our firm in 2018 as an Advocate, demonstrating a strong capacity of dealing with not only substantive, but also with procedural legal issues of complicated and contentious nature.

Savvas is regularly involved in national and international disputes and his practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation or arbitration. He advises on and maintains a genuine interest in shareholders’ disputes, the protection of minority shareholders and the registration and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, whereas his legal awareness extends to all fields of law.

Education

Savvas academic background reaffirms that he has a sound knowledge of legal principles and mechanisms applicable in both civil and common law jurisdictions. Savvas was admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Laws from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2016. He subsequently obtained his LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Bristol, UK in 2018 with Distinction. In terms of his academic work, he submitted his thesis on shareholders’ litigation, elaborating on multiple derivative claims in the corporate group structure.
