After graduating from St Andrews University, David qualified as a solicitor in 1987 at Speechly Bircham.  After nine years at Druces & Atlee, he joined Gordon Dadds in 1999.

David's key practice areas are family and matrimonial law, specialising in divorce and family disputes, and in particular the financial ramifications of relationship breakdowns. He also has expertise in private children work. His principal aim is to try to resolve difficult and often intractable disputes quickly and fairly, and with the least possible damage to family relationships.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua.
