Position

Thierry Amy has many years of experience in representing and advising the various actors of the Swiss banking and financial market for commercial and regulatory matters, including procedures before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and the SIX Swiss Exchange, as well as in assisting such actors before criminal, civil and administrative authorities/tribunals both at the cantonal and federal levels. His other areas of practice include company law, commercial law, real estate law, debt enforcement and bankruptcy law as well as international criminal and administrative judicial cooperation law (including for tax purposes). He is the author of a prized dissertation and he regularly publishes articles on current topics in his areas of expertise. He has developed a strong expertise in advising and supporting clients in the public sector, public companies owned by the Confederation, cantons and municipalities, as well as their partners organised along private-sector lines, on all issues of public law and their interfaces with private law (administrative, energy, traffic, environmental, public procurement, public building and public procedural law). He supports his clients in negotiation procedures and in the conclusion of administrative and financing agreements, and helps them in settling disputes arising under administrative law, as well as in creating public private partnerships.
