Sally Gillis is a senior partner in Eitan Mehulal Sadot’s Intellectual Property Department and the head of its Patent and Copyright Departments.

Sally is widely recognized for her expertise in a wide range of technologies, such as biotechnology, chemistry, nanotechnology, cleantech and hi-tech, as well as her copyright experience in the publishing and media industries. She advises companies with complex IP portfolios on how to protect and register their IP, and handles due diligences, litigation and dispute resolution.

Sally provides incisive opinions and legal analyses that enable clients to navigate the Israeli legal system and overcome regulatory barriers. She is highly sought-after by clients and foreign attorneys on a wide range of issues relating to intellectual property (patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets), as well as privacy, databases, telecommunications and the Internet.

Sally’s patent practice has been described as “superb” by Legal 500. In 2019, Sally was named one of WIPR’s Influential Women in IP.

Sally is admitted to practise law in Israel, England and Australia. She has written chapters on Israeli Internet law and regulation for a well known English textbook and a chapter on famous marks for a book about trademarks with worldwide distribution.

Sally has served as a member of the Justice Department’s working committees that revised Israel’s Copyright and Trademarks Laws, and is a member of AIPPI and ALAI.
