Sharon Kaufmann is a partner in Stek’s finance group. She specializes in banking and finance with a focus on hospital financing, project financing and real estate and asset based financing transactions. Key clients in this area are ABN Amro Bank, BNG, Deutsche Bank, ING Bank and Rabobank. Before she joined Stek in 2012, Sharon was an associate in the banking & finance and insolvency departments at Houthoff Buruma. Sharon regularly teaches, amongst others in the field of insolvency law.

As well as assisting with acquisitions and leveraged finance, Stek‘s team, which stands out for its ‘commercial‘ approach and ‘good sense of judgement‘, also advises on general corporate lending and asset-based financing. Sharon Kaufmann advised longstanding clients ABN Amro and BNG Bank on the €95m financing of Stichting de Opbouw, which provides care for the elderly and disabled, showcasing the team’s particular focus on the healthcare sector. Herman WamelinkFrans Haak and Maarten van der Graaf, who is ‘a real pleasure to work with‘, jointly head the team with Kaufmann.

Stek is predominantly active on the lender side of project financing work and advises large Dutch banks and public funds on the financing of a wide range of projects. Key areas of work include telecoms infrastructure projects including fibre roll-outs, privately funded green energy projects and those with an element of public funding, and refinancing matters.
