ENSafrica‘s practice covers a broad range of matters, including those involving leveraged finance, regulation of the financial services industry and debt finance. Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia jointly leads the team with Paa Kwesi Morrison, who is advising the Standard Bank of South Africa on a $30m senior term loan facility to be granted to Promasidor Holdings to support the working capital requirements of Promasidor’s subsidiaries and for general corporate purposes.
ENSafrica‘s infrastructure projects practice handles the full life cycle of energy and infrastructure projects, including the construction of national roads, apartment buildings and power plants. It also assists clients with project finance transactions, permits and regulatory matters. Paa Kwesi Morrison is advising GuarantCo on a facility to Early Power Limited to finance the construction of a 400MW LPG-fired combined cycle gas turbine plant, and associated LPG fuel storage and transportation infrastructure in Ghana. Morrison co-heads the practice with Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia.
ENSafrica‘s team has experience of advising on project finance transactions, the construction of power plants, national roads and commercial real estate. The team is jointly led by Paa Kwesi Morrison and Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia. Morrison has experience of acting for financial institutions, as well as regional and international companies. Rachel Dagadu made partner in 2019.
ENSafrica‘s practitioners advise local authorities, major corporates and financial institutions on banking and capital markets matters. It also generates mandates from international and African investors active in Ghana and the wider African market. The group’s work includes finance transactions, bond issues, derivatives and securitisations. The team is led by Paa Kwesi Morrison and Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia. Morrison is advising JP Morgan on entering into ISDA master with certain legal entities incorporated in Ghana. Newly promoted partner Rachel Dagadu is also recommended.
ENSafrica is particularly strong in the mining, energy and telecoms sectors. It demonstrates strong capabilities in M&A, restructurings and commercial work, among other matters. Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia and Amina Abugdanpoka Kaguah are joint heads of the team. Kaguah has over twenty years of experience acting for domestic and regional clients.
