Meir Linzen is the chairman of Herzog Fox & Ne’eman and head of the Tax, Private Client, Gaming & Gambling Departments. With over 40 years of experience, Meir is regarded as one of Israel’s leading tax experts. Meir headed the firm for over 20 years.
Meir heads the firm’s Tax Department, which is the largest and best-known in Israel. He specialises in tax planning for cross-border transactions and has particular expertise in tax issues relating to international mergers and acquisitions in Israel. The Tax Department, headed by Meir, has been involved in the tax aspects of some of the largest transactions in the Israeli market in recent years. These transactions often involve multinational corporations active in Israel and consequently, Meir advises on substantive tax issues with respect to acquiring local corporations as well as issues of transfer pricing, benefits for investors and employee benefits.
Meir has unparallelled experience and expertise in advising banks and multinational corporations with regards to their activities in Israel, as well as in advising private clients in their cross-border activities, including international tax and estate planning. Meir is among the leading and prominent lawyers in the E-Commerce field. In addition, due to his background in international law, Meir is also considered a leading expert in Public International Law and in Defence and Homeland Security.
