Career
Tuvia has more than twenty years of experience representing Israeli and multinational companies in complex litigation in the District Court, the Supreme Court, and before arbitration boards.
He is a specialist in litigation matters involving trust and estates, commercial transactions, corporate control and governance, insurance, conflicts between manufacturers and distributors regarding contract termination, and public tender disputes. He has been instrumental in several precedent-making decisions, including decisions involving the fiduciary duties of company directors, the service of process of foreign companies outside of Israeli jurisdiction, the Sales (International Goods) Act, and arbitration clauses in international commercial agreements. In addition, Tuvia has unique experience in representing multinational defendants, such as British American Tobacco (BAT), S&P Maalot, and Heinz-Remedia in class action claims and mass tort claims.
Tuvia has successfully represented and counselled leading Israeli companies, including News Datacom Ltd. (part of the News Group), Kanit, the developer of the Azrieli Centre in Tel Aviv (the largest retail and commercial office complex in Israel), and multinational companies such as General Electric and Kimberly Clark. He also successfully represented the concessionaire of the Carmel Tunnels project in its legal action to enforce its loan agreement with an Israeli bank.
