With over 20 years of experience, Oz focuses on domestic and international tax issues, ranging arising from mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, securities offerings, financial products, and bankruptcy.
His work includes engaging in domestic and international tax matters, whether in mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, securities offerings, financial products, or bankruptcy.
Oz is a member of the New York Bar and a licensed CPA in Israel. He received his LL.M. and S.J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he specialized in International Tax and the domestic anti-avoidance rules and their interplay with tax treaties.
Prior to joining Pearl Cohen, Oz spent eight years working for the Israeli Tax Authority, and then at a top US law firm. He also serves as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel.
Oz’s clients range from varied strategic and private equity clients, both in the US and abroad, and serves as a consultant regarding cross-border tax matters, such as non-recognition treatment of intra-group transactions, FATCA compliance, and maintenance of federal exemptions.
