Position

Partner in the family law department. Resolution accredited high value financial remedies, cohabitation matters and domestic violence. Margaret has worked on many cases involving high-earning investment backers and accountants who have complex assets and pay structures, including employee benefit trusts. Other clients are company directors and high-ranking professionals. Margaret regularly lectures on family law issues. Margaret continues to be praised for her skills as a lecturer. At a recent White Paper conference on 26 February 2014 where Margaret was lecturing in the company of leading QCs, one delegate, a partner in a well-known firm said ‘your lecture was fabulous’.

Career

Margaret trained at Broomhead, Saul, and Taunton and qualified in 1983. She became a partner in the firm in Baker and Duke (now part of Humphries Kirk) in 1985. Margaret gained a reputation for dealing with family cases in a firm but fair manner. She developed expertise in cases involving high ranking naval officers. In early 2006 she moved to the Gatwick & City offices of Thomas Eggar where she worked on ultra-high net worth cases. Margaret joined Anthony Gold to be better able to serve her London/City clients in September 2009 becoming a partner in December 2009. Margaret trained as a collaborative lawyer in 2007 and is committed to the collaborative process. She is a member of the Creative Divorce/Collaborative Solutions POD.
