Six partners lead the corporate and M&A team at Réti, Várszegi and Partners PwC Legal: Zoltán Várszegi, Tibor Szabó, Dóra Horváth, Dániel Kelemen, Eszter Gally and Péter Zalai. Várszegi focuses on the energy, mining and telecoms sectors and, along with Horváth and Dalma Dudás, advises on the establishment of Hungarian subsidiaries of multinational companies. László Réti‘s expertise spans antitrust, merger control and consumer protection issues. Réti leads the team alongside Péter Zalai, who focuses his practice on the pharmaceuticals and energy sectors, particularly in terms of providing compliance advice. Zsófia Straubinger advises clients on dawn raids, as part of the team’s emphasis on preventative interventions. As part of the firm’s German desk, Márk Péter Baksa strengthens the team’s cross-border capabilities.

Leveraging its strong background in tax litigation, the dispute resolution team at Réti, Várszegi and Partners PwC Legal regularly represents clients from the real estate, IP and TMT industries. The group is also noted for its expertise in corporate, commercial and agricultural land disputes. The practice is jointly headed up by László Réti, who brings over 35 years’ experience to the role; Péter Zalai, who focuses on civil law cases, Dániel Kelemen, whose diverse litigation practice spans the automotive, chemical, financial and healthcare sectors; and Zoltán Várszegi, who is primarily involved in tax litigation. Noémi Szabó and Balázs Balog provide key support. János Faragó regularly represents clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
