Types of work undertaken:Banking and finance: expertise in lending transactions (including leveraged, corporate and real estate), both domestically and internationally, and finance documentation required for solvent group reorganisations and cash pooling arrangements.

Commercial disputes: pursuit and defence of claims across all sectors, particularly contractual, boardroom, shareholder and fraud disputes, contentious insolvency and professional negligence.

Corporate M&A: comprehensive, global legal support on all M&A (including private equity) transactions, from minority investments to joint ventures, cross-border mergers, public and private acquisitions, with the advantage of access to PwC experts from corporate finance, consulting, transaction services and tax.

Cyber security and data protection: developing strategies for data handling and use; development and management of national and international compliance projects; data protection officer services, outsourcing and cosourcing; regulatory liaison and clearance; incident response and breach disclosure; regulatory investigations and enforcement actions; civil and criminal litigation; and crisis management.

Due diligence: buy-side and sell-side due diligence reviews for corporate/private equity clients and other law firms, on UK-based targets and multinational/global groups. Services are provided on a stand-alone basis or as an integrated PwC legal, financial, tax and commercial due diligence offering.

Entity governance and compliance: support for UK and overseas multinational groups on all aspects of corporate and subsidiary governance; company secretarial support including: setting up entity structures, ongoing compliance and transactional support, IPO readiness and ongoing regulatory governance/reporting reviews, director training and entity rationalisation.

Employment: UK and international advice on all matters, including restructurings and redundancies, compliance and training, equality and diversity, senior executive appointments, restrictive covenants, terminations, disputes, whistleblowing and discrimination.

Global immigration: advice to high-net-worth individuals, multinational corporations and educational establishments. Specialists in immigration governance, risk compliance strategies and crisis management during political emergencies.

Intellectual property: specialists in protecting, managing, exploiting and enforcing IP rights, including IP licensing, IP structuring, IP audits and IP risk reviews.

International business reorganisations: advice on complex cross-border reorganisations (post-deal integrations, legal entity rationalisation, pre-transaction separations/carve-outs and single entity/branch structures).

IT: outsourcing, IT systems procurement, software licensing, digital transformation and e-commerce.

Pensions: advice to domestic and international corporates on issues including transactions, group reorganisations, contingent (and other bespoke) funding solutions, liability management (including buy-ins and buy-outs) and advice on contentious matters (both regulatory and litigious).

Public sector: advises clients in all aspects of public sector projects, including end-to-end procurement and contracting, outsourcing, and transformation and redevelopment.

Real estate: full-service capability covering transactions, finance, restructuring and work out, advising funds and occupiers; exceptional experience of complex transactions requiring an integrated service from a combination of specialists, including legal, assurance, tax, financial and advisory experts.

Regulatory disputes: economic/financial crime (including bribery and corruption, money laundering and sanctions and export controls). Undertaking regulatory investigations, including tracing and recovering misappropriated funds. Provides compliance services particularly to financial services clients regarding financial regulation, including the senior manager regime and skilled person's reviews.

Tax disputes: expertise in the full range of direct and indirect taxes and tax risk. Experienced in litigating at all levels of UK court or tax tribunal and at the CJEU, settlement of disputes and resolution of deadlocked disputes.

Technology and outsourcing: advice on complex commercial contracts, consumer protection and other commercial law. Expertise in large projects including restructuring operating models and intra-group agreements.
