Career
Peter has been an attorney-at-law and director at EY Law since 2009. Prior to this he worked in the legal department of EY (2004-2009). Peter is a regular speaker on seminars and the author of various articles on corporate law topics.
Peter is the corporate law leader for Belgium. His experience includes large domestic and international reorganization projects, pre- & post-merger integration projects, legal entities rationalization and OME (operating model effectiveness). With more than 13 years’ experience in providing legal advisory services to business, Peter has been lead legal counsel in numerous international and domestic reorganizations. His focus has been multidisciplinary cross-border projects in close cooperation with the tax and advisory teams of EY.

Peter Suykens is a member of the Brussels bar. He is head of the Brussels corporate & commercial group and corporate law leader for Belgium. Peter obtained his Master in Law in 2002 at the University of Antwerp (cum laude) and he also obtained a LL.M. in tax law at the University of Antwerp (magna cum laude). His final paper was awarded the renowned TFR price. Peter is a speaker on seminars and the author of various articles on corporate law. Peter became Partner with EY Law in 2016.
Education
Peter obtained a Master in Law at the University of Antwerp (2002). He also obtained an additional Master in Tax Law at the University of Antwerp (2003). Peter’s final paper was awarded the renowned TFR prize.
