Career

Milen has in-depth knowledge and experience in all fields of taxation with key expertise in the area of indirect taxes. Milen has led a number of policy projects related to EU accession, approximation and harmonization. He has worked on policy projects in Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Kosovo in the fields of taxation, data privacy, civil procedures and insolvency, healthcare. Milen has established the tax controversy practice of EY in Bulgaria and has lead a big number of court cases, including successful cases before the Court of Justice of the EU.
