The firm: Wolf Theiss opened its first office in Vienna in 1957 and soon established a reputation as one of the region’s leading law firms. The firm has since grown into a multinational team of approximately 340 lawyers, making it one of the largest integrated law firms in the region. It has offices* in Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Albania: The Tirana office joined the Wolf Theiss network in 2004, having previously been part of a large international UK law firm. The office, led by Sokol Nako, has rapidly developed into one of the big names for complex transactions in Albania. The team comprises seven lawyers (including one partner) and specialises in all core areas of business law, particularly corporate law, banking and finance, public procurement and concessions.

One way to show our commitment to the community is by providing legal advice on a pro bono basis to clients who need legal help, but are unable to pay for our services. Our pro bono work is directed at clients whom we consider to be very deserving or who face legal issues that we believe are especially important to our communities or to society as a whole. We are proud that Euromoney Legal Media Group honoured us with the ‘2014 Best National Firm for Pro Bono Work’.
