Gerhard Cloete’s practice involves all aspects of Dispute Resolution with a particular focus on arbitration, insurance law, financial services and regulatory disputes, administrative law, cross border disputes and liquor law. He has advised insurers in the long-term and short-term insurance markets regarding policy response and coverage and has assisted a leading pension fund administrator in South Africa for more than 15 years. Gerhard has also represented one of the largest international retailers in a variety of cross border disputes, forensic investigations and various liquor law objection hearings and court applications for more than 10 years. He is committed to doing pro bono work and serves as a commissioner in the Small Claims Court. Gerhard has been a Director at Werksmans since 2009.
