Career
Monique served her articles at Werksmans from 2003 to 2004 and was admitted as an attorney in 2004. Monique has been a litigation practitioner since 2005 and she specialises in general commercial litigation, which includes arbitration and mediation proceedings, administrative and regulatory law, building and construction law, healthcare related matters and disputes and advice and court proceedings relating to petroleum and licensing legislation.
Monique is also part of Werksmans’ Knowledge Management Department and is responsible for keeping the Litigation Department advised of the latest legal developments affecting litigation practices as well as developments affecting the legal practice as a whole.
Monique presents lectures to the first year candidate attorneys at Werksmans during their induction programme, which lectures are aimed to assist the candidate attorneys, at an early stage, with the demands of legal practice.
