Director Chris Stevens is Head of the Mining & Resources practice area and Head of the China practice area; also lending his expertise to the Africa and Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions practice areas. Chris is deeply skilled in matters relating to due diligence; opinion work; administrative appeals and reviews; mining title registration; and resources law. He is a sought-after advisor on mining transactions; mining disputes; and all aspects of the MPRDA. Chris advised Anglo American Platinum on all its BEE projects for all its joint ventures and existing mines.

Education

Chris holds a BCom and LLB degree from the University of Witwatersrand and has been practising mining law since 1987. He was admitted as a notary public in 1990.
