Marco Steiner is a partner in our Vienna office and a member of our corporate and M&A practice group, as well as the real estate practice group. His primary areas of focus are major strategic M&A and real estate projects, particularly in transport, infrastructure, and other regulated industries. Marco also regularly advises on private equity and venture capital transactions. He is a lecturer and legal expert for the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Marco joined E&H in 2007. Prior to that, he worked for the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Vienna.

The projects and energy team at Eisenberger & Herzog consists of energy and infrastructure specialists from the firm’s M&A, finance and regulatory practices. Combining the expertise of several practice groups, the team is able to provide specific industry and market knowledge across a number of areas including conventional power generation, transmission and distribution work, renewable energy issues, oil and gas matters, and large-scale plant engineering and construction mandates. The team, which is jointly led by Marco Steiner and Ulrike Sehrschön, also covers the entire life cycle of energy and infrastructure assets. Tatjana Katalan-Dworak is a key name for public law matters and infrastructure projects.
Eisenberger & Herzog is well-versed in handling international transactions across a multitude of industry sectors, particularly regulated industries including the energy and infrastructure, banking and financial services and telecoms sectors. Peter Winkler and Alric Ofenheimer jointly lead the practice group, which also fields Josef Schmidt and Marco Steiner, who is active in the transport, infrastructure and regulated industries.
