Stenbrenden’s main working area is employment law, data protection law and pension law. He has approximately ten years of experience in counseling and litigation in all aspects of the individual and collective labour law. He advises employers and employers' organizations on a wide range of labour law issues, including employment contracts, incentive schemes, downsizing, transfer of undertakings, hiring-in, posting and collective agreements. He advices clients on data protection law, such as how to establish and maintain a internal control system, employer’s right to examine an employee’s email box, control measures etc, and on various questions regarding pension law. Stenbrenden also has broad employment law litigation experience.

  • Norway not included when short sale regulations in EU take effect 1 November 2012

    From 1 November 2012 EU Regulation 236/2012 on short selling and certain aspects of credit default swaps will come into effect. Although the Regulation is within the scope of the EEA Agreement, Norway has not implemented the EU Regulation. Based on unofficial information from the Norwegian authorities, we expect the implementation process to be delayed until at least late 2013. Meanwhile, existing rules on short sale in Norway will continue to apply for transactions performed on the Norwegian market.
