Isa Alade is a partner at Banwo & Ighodalo with fifteen (15) years of experience in providing legal advice to corporate organisations and private equity firms has been involved in wide array of FinTech transactions, a number of which were novel at the time of completion.
He has extensive experience advising on legal and regulatory issues relating to the application of technology to financial services. He has advised clients on the development of mobile payments and lending platforms, data privacy as well as private equity investment into the FinTech sector. He also provides support to government/regulatory agencies in the development of FinTech laws. In particular, he is a member of the expert working group constituted by the Central Bank of Nigeria under the auspices of the Financial System Strategy (FSS) 2020 to review regulations and legislations impacting financial technology/payment systems in Nigeria.
