Career

Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, FCArb was born on 19th April 1965.

In 1983 he was admitted into the University of Lagos and graduated in 1986 with a 2nd class Upper degree in Political science.

In 1987 he returned to the University of Lagos and graduated in 1990 with 2nd class Upper honours in Law.

In 1991 he was called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

In 1991 Adeniji Kazeem started his professional career as a Consultant in the Tax and Regulatory services division of the International Consulting and Accounting Firm of Arthur Andersen (now KPMG). After five years with the Firm he voluntarily resigned to establish his own Firm.

In 1996 he established the Law Firm of Adeniji Kazeem & Co (AK & Co.). The Firm is a full service Firm and currently has offices in Lagos and Abuja.

On 24th September 2018 he was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) after confirmation by the Legal Practitioners privileges committee

Mr. Kazeem was appointed and served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for Lagos State between October 2015 and May 2019.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria and a member of the Body of Benchers amongst several other organisations. He is happily married and blessed with children.

Education

Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, FCArb holds two degrees in Political Science and Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991. He also holds a Masters degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from the University of Strathclyde Glasgow, Scotland and is also a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In 2018, he was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria and in 2019, he was also conferred with the award of Fellow of The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators. He has participated in several local and international workshops and seminars both as resource person and student including the Summer 2019 Havard Law School Executive Education for Managing Partners
