Childcare director Emine has extensive experience in all aspects of childcare and family law, and specialises in representing parents, children’s guardians and children in all Children Act matters, particularly in cases involving abuse, drug/alcohol misuse, neglect, rare illness and non-accidental injuries. Her case load also comprises of a broad range of privately and publicly funded family and childcare matters, including; care proceedings; private law children disputes; domestic violence matters; divorce and ancillary relief and cohabitation disputes.

Emine is committed to assisting the most vulnerable and ensuring access to justice. She is head of the Duncan Lewis Pro bono Committee which has received a number of national industry awards in recognition for its excellent work.


Emine qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has been a partner-level director at Duncan Lewis since 2012. She recently won Jordan’s Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year at the 2016 Family Law Awards and was commended in the category: Best Contribution by an Individual at the 2017 LawWorks Pro Bono Awards.




Emine is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel.


Emine achieved her LPC from the College of Law and her BA (Hons) degree from Nene University College (University of Northampton).

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
