Position

Director within Duncan Lewis Solicitors’ immigration department, Bernadette Adusei’s main areas of expertise are public and administrative law matters. She has extensive experience in all types of asylum and immigration cases, she is adept at obtaining injunctions and other interim relief orders for cases requiring urgent action. She is experienced in judicial review matters and has a specific interest in matters challenging unlawful immigration detention as well as obtaining damages for claimants.

Bernadette works with a wide range of vulnerable clients including victims of torture, victims of domestic abuse and victims of trafficking. In addition, she works closely with the Refugee Council, assisting unaccompanied asylum seeking minors and victims of trafficking with their applications for asylum or leave to remain.

Career

Bernadette joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors in 2013 and became a partner-level director in 2016.

Bernadette is fluent in German and speaks conversational French.
