Mr Claudio De Castro
Claudio De Castro focus his practice in litigation and arbitration.
Claudio De Castro joined the firm in 2011 and became a partner in 2017. He is Co-Head of the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group.
Mr. De Castro specializes in representing foreign clients and multinational companies facing complex arbitration or litigation proceedings in Panama or involved in multijurisdictional disputes that include a Panamanian component.
He is well-known for his cutting-edge advocacy skills, thorough knowledge of Panamanian legal frame work and proceedings, as well as his global, honest risk analysis of complex arbitration or litigation cases.
Mr. De Castro developed his international experience working as trainee in the International Arbitration Departments of Shearman & Sterling LLP in Paris (2010) and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in London (2010-2011). Mr. De Castro has also participated as an Arbitrator in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.

Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega has significant expertise in multi-jurisdictional disputes; the team frequently foreign companies in litigation and arbitration proceedings in Panama, and is particularly active in international commercial arbitrations against the Republic of Panama. The firm is experienced in a wide range of cases, including commercial disputes, administrative proceedings (including regulatory claims), admiralty cases, and labour and tax litigation, and has seen an increasing amount of work acting for debtors and creditors in insolvency litigation.
