Bjørn Olav Torpp has particular knowledge of M&A and has been involved in some of the major transactions in Norway the last couple of years, including Alimentation Couche-Tard's NOK 15.3 billion public to private acquisiton of Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA, sale of Sektor Eiendomsutvikling AS (shopping centres) (approx. NOK 7,000 million), sale of Borregaard Skoger from Orkla to Statskog (NOK 1,750 million) and the joint venture between Telenor and Schibsted within online classifieds in Asia and Latin America AS, and sale of real estate (logistics) from Bulk Eiendom to Storebrand Livsforsikring ASA (NOK 1,450 mill.). Bjørn Olav har particular knowledge of transactions within the real estate and energy sector, in addition to PE/VC transactions.

It also recently assisted BlackRock with its acquisition of the Guleslettene wind farm and advised FSN Capital on its acquisition of a majority stake in Mørenot. Kjetil Hardeng and Bjørn Olav Torpp jointly lead the department, which also includes the 'dynamic and pragmaticPreben Brecke, who is 'a safe pair of hands on any issue'. Arne Byberg joined from an in-house position and Andreas Vik made partner in 2018.
