Career

Bertrand Loisel is a member of Plasseraud IP’s Executive Committee.

An Industrial Property Attorney and European Patent Attorney, he heads the firm’s Mechanics-Electronics-Computing department. He supports major players and innovative companies in the IT, telecoms and construction sectors in their industrial property strategy, in the technical fields of mechanics, IT and electricity. He advises and litigates, representing clients in oppositions before the European Patent Office, and in infringement cases before French and foreign courts.

Before joining Plasseraud in 1992, he was a researcher at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), and began his career in industrial property as a patent engineer in a French industrial property consultancy firm. Bertrand is a member of CNCPI’s Brevet Unitaire (BU) and Juridiction Unifiée des Brevets (JUB) committees, as well as of the following associations: ACPI, FICPI, AIPPI. He is a regular speaker at training courses and was a member of the Jury for the French Industrial Property qualification exam.
