Position

Alex Kaufmann is a partner in the corporate department at Fladgate.

He specialises in advising on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments as well as restructurings.

Alex has particular experience in advising on cross-border transactions with a particular emphasis on Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Benelux countries.  He advises companies from a wide variety of industries as well as institutional investors and banks.

An example of a notable transaction on which Alex has advised is the Powerline Group acquisition of a joint venture stake in Carillion Powerlines Limited.

He is ranked as a leading lawyer by the independent guides to the legal profession.

Alex is a native German speaker and also speaks fluent French and Romanian. He heads our market leading German language team, which advises companies and institutions from the German speaking countries and regions on all English law aspects of their business interests in the UK.
