Alexander specialises in commercial disputes with a particular expertise in cross-border matters including disputes over jurisdiction and applicable law, the enforcement of foreign judgments and contentious insolvency matters involving international elements. Alexander has many years of experience advising on contractual disputes and corporate related issues including shareholder disputes.
Alexander represents companies and individuals from all commercial sectors, from manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and retail businesses to banks and other financial institutions. My international practice has a focus on advising German, Swiss and Austrian clients.
Recent notable cases include a complex shareholder dispute involving a multitude of foreign jurisdictions relating to a prestigious real estate development in Berlin.
In Chambers Global, Alexander is recommended as an “Expert Based Abroad” in Dispute Resolution in Germany and as a “Foreign Expert” in Dispute Resolution.
Qualified 1998 (Germany) and 2001 (England and Wales); made partner Fladgate 2008.
