Position
I am the head of our Green Energy Group and I have been involved in a broad range of private company work including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements, corporate finance and debt finance across a range of sectors but with a particular focus on PFI, projects and infrastructure, renewables and project finance.
During my career as a lawyer I have been involved in advising across a wide range of infrastructure projects. I have extensive experience of advising on issues that arise on projects and renewable assets during the construction and operational phases including variations to project finance documentation, the termination of projects and defaults occurring under project finance documentation as well as investment and M&A in this sector.
A number of my clients in the infrastructure sector began during the course of the 2010s to invest in and develop renewable and low carbon projects. As a consequence, I have been involved in advising on a range of renewable and low carbon projects. It was through this initial exposure to renewables that I became increasingly aware of, and interested in, the wider green agenda.
I have been able to combine my interest in the green agenda with my career by heading up Fladgate’s Green Energy Group. Climate change is already having a significant effect on the Earth, however, if we take action now, we can avoid the worst effects of climate change that will arise. I hope that through my work with Fladgate’s Green Energy Group I can contribute to the UK’s progress towards Net Zero by 2050 and help to protect future generations.
