Tiago Bessa joined VdA in 2007. He is Partner of the Information, Communication & Technology and IP Transactions practice areas.
He has been involved in several transactions, in Portugal and abroad, mainly focused on Telecommunications, Media, Electronic Commerce, Copyright and Consumer law.

VdA‘s information, communication and technology group has a breadth of expertise that ensures a steady flow of work from clients in the aerospace, aviation, postal and emerging technologies sectors, alongside the more traditional sectors of TMT. Three partners oversee the department’s work: Margarida Couto is an expert in public procurement and has handled first-of-their-kind transactions in the telecoms sector; Fernando Resina da Silva is the key contact for technology matters; and Magda Cocco is a noted name in the country’s aerospace sector, drafting legislation in that area. Lusophone Africa is an important focus for the practice, with a number of important recent projects in Cape Verde, Mozambique, Angola and São Tomé and Principe. Tiago Bessa was promoted to partner in 2021.
