VdA‘s information, communication and technology group has a breadth of expertise that ensures a steady flow of work from clients in the aerospace, aviation, postal and emerging technologies sectors, alongside the more traditional sectors of TMT. Three partners oversee the department’s work: Margarida Couto is an expert in public procurement and has handled first-of-their-kind transactions in the telecoms sector; Fernando Resina da Silva is the key contact for technology matters; and Magda Cocco is a noted name in the country’s aerospace sector, drafting legislation in that area. Lusophone Africa is an important focus for the practice, with a number of important recent projects in Cape Verde, Mozambique, Angola and São Tomé and Principe. Tiago Bessa was promoted to partner in 2021.
